Will we feel the same?

for Anya

The moonlight dances
Silently through the fingers
Of a nightly palm tree
With beams of icy light
Falling, touching, sinking
Into lonely eyes, staring,
Into the nightly sky.
A body alone, a mind
Gliding through shadows
Of memories, scenes,
Moments like diamonds
Clear and hurting sharp,
Head resting on the floor,
Fallen, sinking away.

Will we feel the same
Caught between the sheets
Time is time again
Endless our moment
A jewel, afloat in space.

The moonlight shone,
Over gentle hills
Of your body at night,
When awoken, the tip
Of my finger gently drew
A line along your waist,
Gentle, barely touching,
Slow, eternally painting,
My soul onto your skin,
Hair for hair felt my tears,
Of nightly joy, there, then,
By your side, dreaming,
Pulling gently your blanket,
Back over your freezing body.

Will we feel the same
Caught between the sheets
Time is time again
Endless our moment
A jewel, afloat in space.

The night fell upon two souls,
Dancing in innocent joy
Of feeling close, a friendship,
An attraction, wrought by fate,
A million moments rushed
Together, pulling us towards
Each other, in a lost world,
Finding the one that felt right.
Your body tries to cross mine,
Holding your waist and moving
You along, you never made it
To the other side, you never.
Sinking into each other, sweat,
Shivering against the walls we fall,
Onto each other, rhythm
Of two souls that match
From the stars to the ancient days,
From the flowers blossoming
To the gentle kindness
And harshest ambition.

Will we feel the same
Caught between the sheets
Time is time again
Endless the moment
A jewel, afloat in space.

The clock chimes we rise
In union, laughing, seeking,
Stars in the outdoors.
The clock chimes and I rise,
Seeing you asleep, hating to leave,
Forever drawn to holding you,
Protecting you, Pulling you close,
Never leaving your side,
Pushed away, fallen aside.
The clock chimes, you wake up,
I stretch and pull you back,
You can’t leave, you left.
Awoken in the night, searching,
Nothing but gods are watching,
A lonesome place that filled
Us both in gentle nightly union.

Will we feel the same
Caught between the sheets
Time is time again
Endless the moment
Gone, astray, far and cold.

Morning dew in the meadow,
Running up a hill the sun
Sparkles through the drops
Reflecting in our childlike play,
The entire universe stood still,
For a moment, just for us,
Reading a book of ancient
Law, while candle light shines
Over your heavenly body,
The one that drove me to miss
You every second you turned around.
Time stopped for an eternity.
Time is time again.

Will we feel the same
Caught between the sheets
Time is time again
Endless the moment
Jewel floating, oh so missed.

Trees entwined in the middle
Of an eternal forest grown
Side by side, wrapped around
Each other, time has stopped,
When you snuggle next to me,
Arm holds your body close,
Tighter, pulls and pulls,
While you crawl into my being,
Closeness between us feels distant.
When my hands gentle lands on you
And your voice longs for more,
Our bodies speak to each other,
Their own timeless symphony,
We awake as if in trance,
Overcome by an attraction,
That seems out of this world,
Nothing ever will be just like this.

Will we feel the same
Caught between the sheets
Time is time again
Endless the moment
I search for you, in darkness.

Soulmate, fellow traveler
Among the stars, you are missed.
Thoughts behind eyes, questions,
Find no way to words, we fail,
To seek each other’s heart, afraid,
We might lose it all.
Silence between us grew
Took it all away.

Tongue touches skin
Slowly eating each others pain
Entering a trance of knowing
Bound together night and day
Never alone, so alone without you,
You touch innocently my arm,
And I feel your smile,
Where are you,
No one is like you, no one will,
In an ocean endless
I hold you tight and lift you up
And never to let go,
Let you go.

Will we feel the same?
It was never between the sheets
Time stops when you are near
All is light, when you are here.
